Our Review Philosophy

Every single product featured on Radieux and Rose has been through a review process that prioritises real results over popularity, marketing claims, or sponsored partnerships. We believe our readers deserve nothing less than completely honest recommendations — and that is exactly what we deliver.

Step 1 — Research and Selection

Before we review anything, we research extensively. We look at Amazon bestseller lists, customer review trends, dermatologist and expert recommendations, social media feedback, and repurchase rates. A product needs to earn its place on our shortlist before it ever reaches our testing phase.

We specifically look for products with at least 4.4 stars across a substantial number of verified reviews. Volume matters — a product with 500,000 genuine reviews tells a much more reliable story than one with 50 glowing comments.

Step 2 — Real World Testing

Our team tests products in real-life conditions — not in controlled studio environments. We test skincare through heatwaves and long work days. We wear foundations through humidity and stress. We try hair treatments through different water types and heat routines. We live with home products for weeks before giving an opinion.

Where relevant, we test across different skin types, hair types, and lifestyles within our team so that our recommendations serve as wide a range of women as possible.

Step 3 — Honest Assessment

We assess every product against what it claims to do. A foundation that claims 24-hour wear gets tested for exactly that. A serum that promises visible results in 14 days gets photographed and assessed at day 14. We do not give a product credit for claims it cannot back up.

We always note when a product works better for certain skin types, when it has a scent that some may find strong, when the packaging is impractical or when the price does not justify the results. The full picture — not just the highlights.

Step 4 — Star Ratings and Ranking

Our rankings combine our own testing results with aggregated customer review data. We weigh the following factors:

• Overall effectiveness — does it do what it says

• Value for money — is the result worth the price

• Ease of use — is it practical for everyday use

• Skin and body safety — ingredients and sensitivities considered

• Longevity — does it perform consistently over time

• Repurchase rate — are verified buyers buying it again

What We Never Do

We never accept payment to feature a product in a positive review. We never let a brand's advertising budget influence our ranking. We never recommend a product we have not researched thoroughly. We never pretend something worked when it did not.

Our affiliate relationship with Amazon means we earn a small commission when you purchase through our links — but this never influences which products we recommend or how we rank them. A bad product does not become a good recommendation just because it pays a higher commission.

Our Commitment
